Maia Cruz Palileo is a multi-disciplinary, Brooklyn-based artist. Migration and the permeable concept of home are constant themes in their paintings, installations, sculptures, and drawings. They refer to their own experiences of Filipinx diaspora as well as archival material in an attempt to resuscitate these figures from the exploitative gaze of the ethnographic image.
